Hospital Bed

Central Carolina Hospital provides pulmonary and critical care medicine, with an eight-bed Intensive Care Unit located on the second floor of the hospital.

We treat adult patients of all ages. Our medical staff's areas of specialization include lung nodules and lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and asthma, chronic cough, hypoxemia and unexplained shortness of breath, as well as bronchoscopy and lung biopsy.

The Intensive Care Unit provides close observation and monitoring of acutely ill patients. Each room has a bedside monitor which is also monitored centrally by staff. All Intensive Care nursing is provided by specially trained Registered Nurses. Telemetry techs monitor and observe patients located throughout the medical and surgical floors.
