Laboratory

The Central Carolina Hospital Laboratory provides 24- hour clinical laboratory support to:

  •  Inpatient and outpatient populations
  •  Physician’s offices
  •  Emergency department

The laboratory interacts with, obtains specimens from and performs clinical laboratory examinations on patients of all ages, including infants. The Laboratory’s departments include:

  •  Chemistry
  •  Blood Blank
  •  Hematology
  •  Microbiology
  •  Specimen Processing

Central Carolina Hospital’s Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Accreditation Program and also obtains a certificate of accreditation from the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.
