Labor and Delivery
Central Carolina Hospital offers five private, spacious Labor and Delivery suites for that special moment in your life: welcoming a new member into your family. We celebrate the arrival of 300 new lives into the world each year!
Our birthing suites include amenities such as private bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs and sleeper sofas for your significant others, with space to care for your infant in the privacy of your room.
Our Labor and Delivery suites provide central monitoring of our patients. We manage patients in premature labor, provide fetal surveillance and deliver term infants. Our Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is nearby for babies who need a higher level of care after delivery, and we maintain close relationships with tertiary care centers for the care and transfer of high-risk patients and those in premature labor.

Regular mammograms are essential to early detection and the fight against breast cancer. In fact, in many circumstances, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer is 99 percent when detected early.
At Central Carolina Hospital, we offer 3-D mammography, breast ultrasound, breast biopsies, breast MRI and genetic testing. For your peace of mind, our mammography program has achieved Mammography Accreditation by the American College of Radiology.
Gynecology and Pelvic Health
As a woman, your health care needs are unique and ever-changing as you get older. That’s why Central Carolina Hospital specializes in a wide range of women’s health services to assist you across your lifespan, from puberty through menopause and beyond.
Our range of services includes annual exams and screenings, pregnancy, birth control, infertility, abnormal bleeding, menopausal therapy, endometriosis and pelvic floor reconstruction.
When it comes to pelvic health, there’s no need to deal with your condition alone. Whether it’s pain, frequent urination, incontinence or another discomfort, our specialists and therapists can diagnose and treat most pelvic health conditions.
