Duane LylesFor Duane Lyles, joining Central Carolina Hospital (CCH) means a return to North Carolina and the community hospital setting he enjoys.

Originally from Oklahoma, Lyles began his laboratory career in 1995 as a weekend technician at a small hospital. He holds a medical technology degree and an MBA in healthcare administration. Over the past 31 years, his career has taken him to Colorado; Burlington, North Carolina; and Orlando, Florida. His career has now brought him back to North Carolina—a state he and his wife agree is their favorite.

CCH’s community focus drew him to his new role as laboratory director, it feels like a good fit. Lyles says the hospital has a great laboratory team.

“I am here to support them,” Lyles said.

Lyles lives in Liberty with his wife and their French bulldog, Sophie. He’s enjoying North Carolina’s rolling hills and looking forward to experiencing all four seasons again. After the Florida heat, even the prospect of wearing a coat is a welcome change.

Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, including fly fishing, and is a big Star Wars fan.

Please join us in welcoming Duane to the CCH team!
