Central Carolina Hospital Dedicates Operating Room in Honor of Dr. Steven Jurisich

Central Carolina Hospital dedicated the operating room in honor of Dr. Steven Jurisich, recognizing his decades of service, surgical excellence, and unwavering commitment to patients and families in Sanford and the surrounding region.

Dr. Jurisich was joined by family, friends, colleagues, physicians, staff members, hospital leaders and community members to celebrate his lasting contributions to healthcare in Lee County and throughout Central Carolina.

As a board-certified general surgeon and longtime member of the Central Carolina Hospital medical staff, Dr. Jurisich has touched countless lives through his compassionate care, clinical expertise, and dedication to his patients. Throughout his career, he has been known as a trusted physician, respected colleague, mentor, and friend whose influence extends far beyond the operating room.

The newly dedicated operating room serves as a lasting tribute to Dr. Jurisich's remarkable career and enduring impact on Central Carolina Hospital and the community he has faithfully served.

The dedication plaque recognizes Dr. Jurisich's extraordinary legacy and honors the countless patients, families, physicians, nurses, and caregivers whose lives have been impacted by his service.

The turnout was overwhelming, with more than 100 people gathering to honor Dr. Jurisich. The classroom was full, people lined the hallway and many watched through the windows — a powerful reflection of the lives he has touched and the deep respect this community has for him.
