At Central Carolina Hospital, Stewart will oversee operations of the hospital’s new 20-bed Emergency Department, scheduled for completion in March of this year. The renovation and expansion adds 33 percent more beds, including three rooms designed for supportive and protective care of behavioral health patients.

“Casey is a strong addition to our leadership team at an important moment in our hospital’s growth into a vital hub for emergency care in Sanford and Lee County,” said Dave Santoemma.
“We are excited to welcome her as we near completion of our new Emergency Department.”

“An Emergency Department runs on teamwork, resilience, and compassion,” Stewart said. “I’m excited to lead such a dedicated group and eager to grow together, serving our neighbors and community with excellence.”
