Interventional Cardiologist Joins Central Carolina Cardiology

Vinod Chaubey, MD, FACC, FSCAI, interventional cardiologist, has joined Central Carolina Cardiology, located in the Medical Arts building at 1139 Carthage Street adjacent to Central Carolina Hospital, as of Jan. 2.

For the past five years, Dr. Chaubey has served as an interventional cardiologist and medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Conway Medical Center in Conway, SC. He joins the practice of Rajiv Swamy, MD, Scott Denardo, MD, and Anastasia Dolgovskij, PA.

A native of India, Dr. Chaubey received his medical degree from Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research in Pondicherry, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital, in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, in 2015. He also served as Chief Resident of the Department of Internal Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital in 2015-16.

He completed his cardiovascular medicine fellowship in the Department of Cardiology at Baystate Medical Center, in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in Springfield, MA, in 2019, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship in 2020.

He is board certified in internal medicine and in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Chaubey will treat adult patients of all ages. His areas of specialization include coronary artery disease, arrythmia, cardiomyopathy, chest pain and congestive heart failure.
