Certified Nurse Practitioner Joins Central Carolina Community Family Care’s Pittsboro Location

Sanford, NC (July 2, 2019) – Central Carolina Hospital is pleased to announce that Kristin Timpy, Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP-C), has joined Central Carolina Community Family Care’s Pittsboro location and will be offering family care throughout Pittsboro and surrounding areas. Timpy started on July 1, 2019.

“Kristin’s experience in primary care, gynecology, and cardiology make her an excellent addition to our family care team,” said Spencer Thomas, CEO of Central Carolina Hospital. 

Timpy joins us from Wake Health Medical Group/Creekside Women’s Center in Raleigh, North Carolina as a Primary Care and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Previously, she worked with Family Doctor in Cary, NC as an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner and Duke Regional Hospital, Durham, NC as a Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner.

Timpy is a graduate of Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey where she received her Master of Science in Nursing.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey.

She specializes in family medicine, patient education, medical weight management, dermatological procedures, women’s health, contraceptive management, nutrition, and disease prevention.
