Central Carolina Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab program provides education and monitored exercise for inpatients and outpatients recently diagnosed with heart disease following an acute event such as a heart attack.
CCH offers two different Phases of rehab, specialized to the need of the patient. Rehab sessions are individualized to your needs by our nurses, exercise physiologists, dietitians, and counselors. The cardiac rehab program also offers a step down cardiac program entitled Fit for Life, for patients with hypertension, post CVA's with independent gait, osteoporosis, obesity, and seniors trying to start an exercise program. The patient's blood sugar, blood pressures, heart rates, and weights are measured before and after exercise.
