Central Carolina Sandhills Family Care Welcomes Dr. Andrew Caldwell and a new FNP-C, Cheri Folk

SANFORD, NC – (May, 1 2018) Central Carolina Hospital announced today that Dr. Andrew Caldwell and the dedicated staff at Central Carolina Family Care are moving locations. Beginning May 1, 2018, Dr. Caldwell and his team will be joining the experienced medical staff of Central Carolina Sandhills Family Care, which is located next to Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford 1125 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC.

During this transition, nothing will change with regard to the quality of care and service our patients will receive. We are committed to ensuring continuity of care and a seamless experience for our patients.

Also on May 1, 2018, Cheri Folk, RN, MSN, FNP-C will be joining Dr. Caldwell at Central Carolina Sandhills Family Care.  “Cheri Folk has over 20 years’ experience caring for the patients of Lee County, starting as a LPN and working her way to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is an excellent addition to our medical staff and a great example of career growth we like to see locally.” said Spencer Thomas, CEO of Central Carolina Hospital.  “Cheri Folk joining our team is important as Central Carolina Hospital strives to meet our region’s evolving healthcare needs and make our community healthier.”

Folk joins Central Carolina Sandhills Family Care from Sanford Nephrology and Hypertension Clinic working as a FNP-C in Sanford, NC.  Previously, she worked with Family Health Associates as the Nurse Manager, Practice Manager and PRN Float Nurse.  Before that she worked at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation in Sanford as a Physician Coordinator, Staff Development Coordinator and Outcomes Director.  Folk is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, in Chapel Hill, NC where she received her Master of Science in Nursing-FNP.  She received her Associates Degree in Nursing at Central Carolina Community College, in Sanford, NC. She specializes in pediatrics, women’s health, preventative medicine and hypertension. 

Dr. Caldwell and Cheri Folk will begin seeing patients at Central Carolina Sandhills Family Care located at 1125 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC on May 1st. Appointments can be made by made by calling 919.775.1000.
