Diagnostic Imaging 

Central Carolina Hospital's Imaging Department provides the following diagnostic imaging services:

  • breast health nurse navigator
  • 64-slice CT
  • DEXA Osteoporosis screening
  • diagnostic radiology
  • digital mammography with computer-aided detection
  • fluoroscopy
  • magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) including breast MRI
  • nuclear medicine
  • ultrasound
  • Women's Center with sterotactic breast biopsies, breast ultrasound

Central Carolina Hospital’s Imaging Department has achieved mammography Accreditation by the American College of Radiology.

Portable X-ray equipment allows for radiographs and fluoroscopic studies to be performed in surgery, patient rooms, Emergency Department, and the Intensive Care Unit.

Cardiac cath services are available at Central Carolina Hospital in the mobile lab.

Patients needing services from the imaging department must report to the registration area at the greeter’s desk prior to coming to the department. Patients must bring insurance information, photo ID, and physicians order form. For additional information please call the Imaging Dept. at (919) 774-2360.
