The intensive care unit at Central Carolina Hospital is comprised of eight beds to provide close observation and monitoring of acutely ill patients. The patient population ranges in ages from Neonates to Geriatrics. The intensive care unit also consists of 16 telemetry units to observe patients located throughout the medical and surgical floors. All intensive care nursing is provided by specially trained Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistant II’s and a Unit Secretary.
