Emergency Department

Dean Flynn, RN - nurse manager, ER

The Emergency Department at Central Carolina Hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies.  The Emergency Department is staffed by emergency medicine physicians as well as other emergency trained personnel.  The Emergency Department consists of 15 beds, including eight minor exam rooms, two trauma beds, and a specialized casting room.

Our focus in the ER is to reduce the time it takes for you to see an ER doctor. Our goal is 30 minutes or less from "door-to-doctor."  Our MedHost patient tracking system allows us to manage patient care and document care times so that we can continually look for ways to provide The Right Care. Right Here.

To complete emergency care, Central Carolina Hospital operates Central Carolina Advanced Life Support.  To find out more about Emergency Medical Services in Lee County, click here.  In addition, Central Carolina Hospital also has a modern helipad to allow for rapid helicopter transportation.
