The following services are provided by Central Carolina Hospital’s Radiology Department on an inpatient and outpatient basis:

• diagnostic radiology
• ultrasound
• nuclear medicine
• CT
• MRI

Mammography is provided primarily for outpatients, but offered for inpatients on a limited basis. Central Carolina Hospital’s Radiology Department has achieved mammography Accreditation by the American College of Radiology.

Portable X-ray equipment allows for radiographs and fluoroscopic studies to be performed in surgery, patient rooms, Emergency Department, and the Intensive Care Unit.

Mobile cardiac cath services are available on Mondays and every other Thursday. Services are offered 24 hours a day to inpatients and Emergency Department patients. Outpatient services are provided Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00 Noon.

The Radiology department is located off of the main hallway of the hospital. Coming from the registration area, this department is located on the right hand side of the hallway passed rehabilitation services. All patients needing services from the radiology department must report to the registration area at the greeter’s desk prior to coming to radiology.
