Third floor is a 56 bed medical unit providing inpatient, observation and outpatient infusion services. Patients are 17 years and older and are primarily geriatric. Primary diagnoses are

• cardiac (telemetry)
• respiratory
• renal
• gastrointestinal 
• oncology.

RN’s, LPN’s and nursing assistants provide care. There is a charge nurse on each shift and a nursing director who has 24-hour responsibility for the unit.

Patients are admitted via their physician’s order through the admitting office. A picture ID and insurance information needs to be brought when registering, as well as any advance directive information, such as a living will, health care power of attorney or mental health power of attorney.

Visiting hours for the Medical Floor is 12 noon to 8:30pm. Children under 11 are not allowed to visit without permission.
