JUNE 2008

CEO Doug Doris & Stephanie McKinney, clinical quality coordinator, accept the Bronze Award from AHA's Ron Cromartie, Vice President for Quality Improvement. Cromartie says, "CCH is the first hospital in North Carolina to receive this award, and I've been notified that you're on your way to Silver, too."

Central Carolina Hospital was recently given the Bronze Award from the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association for meeting 85% or more of their congestive heart failure (CHF) measures. CCH is the first hospital in North Carolina to receive this distinction. "The care our patients receive is our number one priority," says CEO Doug Doris. "That's why we're proud to be among the hospitals that the AHA/ASA recently recognized for excellence in implementing the Get With The Guidelines program."

The award will be published in the July 20th issue of U.S. News & World Report.
